BENEATH THE SURFACE

Green cloudy skies

make me inhale unstained breaths of air.

Calmness starts to build in, 

peace that awakes the senses.

A parenthesis in my daily life is opened.

Questions remain

lingering for an answer

that has to come from its authentic source.

Away from the fear 

that seems to lurk

from every corner we tread.

Action has to spark from the fire within, 

a fire that makes us one and only.

No more hiding away.

Let’s dig beneath the surface

to reach the roots 

that will feed our creative existence.
